Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
The effect of the order is to impose a temporary prohibition of driving on Slains Avenue, Aberdeen, from its junction with Jesmond Avenue to a point 10 metres in a southerly direction from 08:00 on 14th October, 2021, until 07:00 on 16th October, 2021, and also on Slains Circle, Aberdeen, from its junction with Jesmond Avenue to a point 10 metres in a southerly direction from 08:00 on 18th October, 2021, until 07:00 on 20th October, 2021. An alternative route is available via Jesmond Avenue.
Illegally parked vehicles will be removed at the owners expense. Access to properties will be maintained, but no through traffic will be possible.
There will also be a temporary prohibition of traverse on the following footpaths; Between 5 Slains Circle and 12 Jesmond Avenue, Aberdeen; Between 25 Slains Circle and 20 Jesmond Avenue, Aberdeen from 08:00 on 12th October, 2021, until 17:00 on 13th October, 2021. An alternative route is available via Slains Circle and Jesmond Avenue; Between numbers 69 and 87 Jesmond Avenue, Aberdeen from 08:00 on 15th October, 2021, until 17:00 on 16th October, 2021. An alternative route is available via Jesmond Avenue.
The measures are necessary to protect public safety during duct laying works being carried out by City Fibre.
