Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of the order, which will operate from 20:00 on Friday, 23 July 2021, until 07:00 on Monday, 9 August 2021, is to impose the restrictions listed below. The works will be carried out in three stages.
Stage 1 for approximately two to three days. There will be a prohibition of right turn manoeuvres from Powis Terrace, Aberdeen, on to Bedford Road. An alternative route is available via Great Northern Road, St Machar Drive, and Bedford Road. The bus gate on Bedford Road will be suspended.
Stage 2 for approximately four to five days. There will be southbound and northbound lane closures on Powis Terrace, Aberdeen, between Powis Place and Bedford Road.
Stage 3 for approximately four to five days. Prohibition of straight ahead manoeuvres from Powis Terrace, Aberdeen, on to George Street. An alternative route is available via Powis Place, Causewayend, and Hutcheon Street. Prohibition of right turn manoeuvres from Powis Terrace, Aberdeen, on to Calsayseat Road. An alternative route is available via Powis Place, Causewayend, Hutcheon Street, and George Street. Prohibition of right turn manoeuvres from George Street, Aberdeen, on to Powis Place. An alternative route is available via Powis Terrace, Belmont Road, Berryden Road, and Hutcheon Street. Prohibition of right turn manoeuvres from Leslie Terrace, Aberdeen, on to Powis Terrace. An alternative route is available via Powis Terrace, Belmont Road, Berryden Road, and Hutcheon Street. One-way restriction on Calsayseat Road, Aberdeen, from its junction with Powis Terrace to the parking bay at number 2 Calsayseat Road. The permitted direction of travel will be westbound only. An alternative route is available via Leslie Terrace, Powis Terrace, Belmont Road, Berryden Road, and Hutcheon Street.
Also, there will be a prohibition of waiting on either side of Powis Terrace, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Powis Place and Bedford Road, for the duration of the works.
