Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

The effect of the order is to impose a temporary prohibition of driving on the following streets:

Beechwood Road, Aberdeen, from its junction with Cornhill Terrace to the rear of number 2 Cornhill Way from 08:00 on 7th July, 2021, until 17:00 on 8th July, 2021. An alternative route is available via Cornhill Terrace, Ashgrove Road West, Forresterhill Road and Beechwood Avenue; Cornhill Terrace, Aberdeen, from its junction with Ashgrove Road West to the footpath at the side of number 40a Ashgrove Road West from 08:00 on 13th July, 2021, until 17:00 on 14th July, 2021.An alternative route is available via Ashgrove Road West, Braefoot Road and Ash-Hill Drive.

Access to properties will be maintained, but no through traffic will be possible.

There will also be a prohibition of waiting on either side on the following streets between 08:00 and 17:00 Mon-Sat; Ashgrove Road West, Ash-Hill Drive, Beechwood Road, Braefoot Road, Cornhill Terrace, Cornhill Way, Aberdeen from 08:00 on 7th July, 2021, until 17:00 on 27th July, 2021.

Due to any ongoing Covid-19 restrictions, the no-waiting restrictions will not be implemented for the full duration of the order and will only be implemented as and when required.

The no-waiting restrictions will be demarcated by the use of no-waiting cones for no more than 50 metres at a time. For an update as to when the no-waiting restrictions will be implemented please contact GCU (UK) Ltd on 07940333452

The measures are necessary to protect public safety during duct laying works being carried out by City Fibre.
