Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The effect of the order is to impose a temporary prohibition of driving on the following streets:

Birkhall Parade, Aberdeen, from the boundary between number 237 and 239 Birkhall Parade to the gable end of number 247 Birkhall Parade from 08:00 on 19th February, 2021, until 17:00 on 20th February, 2021.An alternative route is available via Upper Mastrick Way, Birkhall Place and Invercauld Road; Tay Road, Aberdeen, between the gable end of number 19 Tay Road and the gable end of number 29 Tay Road and also Tay Road, Aberdeen, between the front and rear of number 16 Tay Road from 08:00 on 22nd February, 2021, until 17:00 on 23rd February, 2021. An alternative route is available via Upper Mastrick Way and Deveron Road; Tay Road, Aberdeen, between its junction with Deveron Road and the gable end of number 46 Tay Road from 08:00 on 24th February, 2021, until 17:00 on 25th February, 2021. An alternative route is available via Upper Mastrick Way and Deveron Road; Deveron Road, Aberdeen, between its junction with Strathmore Drive and the gable end of number 104 Deveron Road from 08:00 on 26th February, 2021, until 17:00 on 27th February, 2021. An alternative route is available via Upper Mastrick Way, Esk Place and Strathmore Drive; Strathmore Drive, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Deveron Road and Esk Place from 08:00 on 1st March, 2021, until 17:00 on 3rd March, 2021. An alternative route is available via Deveron Road, Upper Mastrick Way and Esk Place.

Access to properties will be maintained, but no through traffic will be possible.

There will also be a prohibition of waiting on either side on the following streets between 08:00 and 17:00 Mon-Sat; Birkhall Parade, Birkhall Place, Byron Avenue, Carron Place, Deveron Road, Esk Place, Gadie Crescent, Invercauld Road, Provost Fraser Drive, Strathmore Drive, Tay Road, Upper Mastrick Way, Aberdeen from 08:00 on 22nd January, 2021, until 17:00 on 4th March, 2021.

Due to any ongoing Covid-19 restrictions, the no-waiting restrictions will not be implemented for the full duration of the order and will only be implemented as and when required.

The no-waiting restrictions will be demarcated by the use of no-waiting cones for no more than 50 metres at a time. For an update as to when the no-waiting restrictions will be implemented please contact GCU (UK) Ltd on 07940333452

The measures are necessary to protect public safety during duct laying works being carried out by City Fibre.
