Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
The effect of the order is to impose a temporary prohibition of driving on the following streets;
Albyn Grove, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Stanley Street and Albyn Lane from 08:00 on 4th April, 2020, until 17:00 on 5th April, 2020. Albyn Lane, Aberdeen, between its junction with St Swithin Street and a point 20 metres in an easterly direction from 08:00 on 9th April, 2020, until 17:00 on 10th April, 2020. There will also be a prohibition of waiting on either side on the following streets between 08:00 and 17:00 Mon-Sat Albyn Grove, Albyn Lane, Albyn Place, St Swithin Street, Stanley Street, Union Grove, Aberdeen from 08:00 on 30th March, 2020, until 17:00 on 10th May, 2020.
Illegally parked vehicles will be removed at the owners expense. Access to properties will be maintained, but no through traffic will be possible.
The no-waiting restrictions will not be implemented for the full duration of the order and will only be implemented as and when required. The no-waiting restrictions will be demarcated by the use of no-waiting cones for no more than 100 metres at a time. The measures are necessary to protect public safety during duct laying works being carried out by City Fibre.
Alternative Route: An alternative route is available via Stanley Street, St Swithin Street and Albyn Place; An alternative route is available via St Swithin Street, Stanley Street and Albyn Grove.
