Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
The effect of the order is to impose a temporary prohibition of driving on the following streets; Ashley Lane, Aberdeen, between its junction with Brighton Place and the rear of number 108 Brighton Place from 08:00 on 23rd January, 2020, until 17:00 on 24th January, 2020. Brighton Place, Aberdeen, between its junction with Great Western Road and the rear of number 286 Great Western Road from 08:00 on 31st January, 2020, until 17:00 on 1st February, 2020. Ashley Park Drive, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Great Western Road and Ashley Park Lane from 08:00 on 5th February, 2020, until 17:00 on 6th February, 2020. Ashley Road, Aberdeen, between its junction with Great Western Road and the rear of number 196 Great Western Road from 08:00 on 11th February, 2020, until 17:00 on 12th February, 2020 Access to properties will be maintained, but no through traffic will be possible.
There will also be a prohibition of waiting on either side on the following streets between 08:00 and 17:00 Mon-Sat; Ashley Gardens, Ashley Lane, Ashley Park Drive, Ashley Park Lane, Ashley Road, Brighton Place, Chattan Place, Claremont Street, Great Western Road, Aberdeen from 08:00 on 20th January, 2020, until 17:00 on 1st March, 2020.
Illegally parked vehicles will be removed at the owners expense.
The no-waiting restrictions will not be implemented for the full duration of the order and will only be implemented as and when required. The no-waiting restrictions will be demarcated by the use of no-waiting cones for no more than 100 metres at a time.
