Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
The effect of the order is to impose a temporary prohibition of driving on the following streets;
1.Millburn Street, Aberdeen, between its junction with Crown Street and the entrance to Dee Village from 08:00 on 29th May, 2019, until 17:00 on 30th May, 2019.
2.Crown Street, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Wellington Place and Millburn Street from 08:00 on 1st June, 2019, until 17:00 on 2nd June, 2019.
3.Portland Street, Aberdeen, between its junction with Crown Street and the boundary between number 12 and 14 Portland Street from 08:00 on 5th June, 2019, until 17:00 on 6th June, 2019.
There will also be a prohibition of waiting on either side on the following streets between 08:00 and 17:00 Mon-Sat;
Crown Street, Ferryhill Terrace, Millburn Street, Portland Street, Rosebank Terrace, South College Street, Wellington Place, Aberdeen from 08:00 on 27th May, 2019, until 17:00 on 30th June, 2019.
Illegally parked vehicles will be removed at the owners expense. Access to properties will be maintained, but no through traffic will be possible.
The no-waiting restrictions will only be implemented as and when required, and will be demarcated by the use of no-waiting cones
The measures are necessary to protect public safety during duct laying works being carried out by City Fibre.
