Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
The effect of the order is to impose a temporary prohibition of driving in the bus lane on Menzies Road, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Walker Place and Victoria Road from 08:00 until 17:00 on 6th April, 2019. There will also be a prohibition of driving on Walker Lane, Aberdeen, between its junction with Menzies Road and a point 10 metres in a southerly direction from 08:00 on 8th April, 2019, until 17:00 on 9th April, 2019. The one-way restriction Walker Lane, Aberdeen, between the junctions with Menzies Road and Walker Road will be suspended from 08:00 on 8th April, 2019, until 17:00 on 9th April, 2019.
There will also be a prohibition of waiting on either side on the following streets between 08:00 and 17:00 Mon-Sat;
Crombie Road, Grampian Road, Menzies Road, Sinclair Road, South Esplanade East, South Esplanade West, Victoria Road, Walker Road, Aberdeen from 08:00 on 3rd April, 2019, until 17:00 on 14th May, 2019.
Illegally parked vehicles will be removed at the owners expense. Access to properties will be maintained, but no through traffic will be possible.
The no-waiting restrictions will only be implemented as and when required, and will be demarcated by the use of no-waiting cones for no more than 100 metres at a time
The measures are necessary to protect public safety during duct laying works being carried out by City Fibre.
