Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
The effect of the order, which will operate from 18:30 on 27 November, 2018, until 20:00 on 1 December, 2018, is to suspend the waiting for any purpose on either side of Girdleness Road, Aberdeen, between its junction with Wellington Road and the west boundary of 191 Girdleness Road. This will be limited to a three hundred metre stretch at a time. This is to accommodate two-way Temporary Traffic signals on Girdleness Road. The no-waiting restrictions will be demarcated by the use of no-waiting cones. Illegally parked vehicles will be removed at the owners expense. 1. From 07:30 until 20:00 29 November, 2018, Gregness Gardens, Aberdeen, will be closed at its junction with Girdleness Road. 2. From 07:30 until 20:00 on 30 November, 2018, Fernie Brae, Aberdeen, will be closed at its junction with Girdleness Road. 3. From 07:30 until 20:00 on 1 December, 2018, Ladywell Place, Aberdeen, will be closed at its junction with Girdleness Road; and Rockall Road, Aberdeen, will be closed at its junction with Girdleness Road 4. Also at this time, Girdleness Road, Aberdeen, will be one way, eastbound, between its junctions with Wellington Road and Old Church Road. There will also be a prohibition of waiting at any time on either side of Old Church Road, Aberdeen, between its junction with Girdleness Road and Balnagask Road. Illegally parked vehicles will be removed at the owners expense. This is for the bus diversion route.
The restrictions are in the interests of public safety during exploratory works by WM Donald for the new Harbour project.
