Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

The effect of the order, which will operate from 07:30 on 1 October, 2018, until 16:00 on 13 October, 2018, is to impose a temporary prohibition of driving on Shiprow, Aberdeen, between its junction with Exchequer Row and a point 20 metres south of this junction. The existing pedestrian zone on Shiprow, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Shore Brae and Market Street, shall be suspended and replaced by a temporary one-way restriction. The direction of flow will be westbound.
During this time, the existing one-way restrictions on Shiprow, Aberdeen, and Exchequer Row, Aberdeen, shall be suspended.
The measure is necessary to protect public safety during sewer upgrade works.
