Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of the order is to impose a temporary prohibition of driving on Middlefield Place, Aberdeen, between its western junction with North Anderson Drive service road and a point 15 metres in a westerly direction from 08:00 on 8th August, 2018, until 17:00 on 9th August, 2018. An alternative route is available via North Anderson Drive service road, Provost Rust Drive and Smithfield Drive.
There will also be a prohibition of waiting on the following streets between 08:00 and 17:00 daily; Clarke Street, Danestone Circle, Fairlie Street, Fowler Avenue, Kemp Street, Middlefield Place, North Anderson Drive service road, Persley Crescent, Provost Rust Drive service road and Smithfield Drive, Aberdeen from 08:00 on 7th August, 2018, until 17:00 on 8th September, 2018.
Illegally parked vehicles will be removed at the owners expense.
The no-waiting restrictions will only be implemented as and when required and will be demarcated by the use of no-waiting cones for no more than 100 metres at a time.
The measures are necessary to protect public safety during duct laying works being carried out by City Fibre.
