Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The effect of the order is to impose a temporary prohibition of driving on the following streets;
Cummings Park Road, Aberdeen, between its junction with Provost Rust Drive service road and a point 15 metres in a northerly direction, from 08:00 on 7th August, 2018, until 17:00 on 8th August, 2018. An alternative route is available via Provost Rust Drive service road and Fowler Avenue; Fowler Avenue, Aberdeen, between its junction with Provost Rust Drive service road and a point 20 metres in a northerly direction, from 08:00 on 9th August, 2018, until 17:00 on 10th August, 2018. An alternative route is available via Provost Rust Drive service road and Cummings Park Road; Cummings Park Road, Aberdeen, between its junction with Fowler Avenue and a point 20 metres in a southerly direction, from 08:00 on 11th August, 2018, until 17:00 on 12th August, 2018. An alternative route is available via Provost Rust Drive service road and Fowler Avenue.
There will also be a prohibition of waiting on the following streets between 08:00 and 17:00 daily; Cummings Park Road, Danestone Circle, Fowler Avenue, Logie Place, Logie Terrace, Manor Avenue, Manor Walk, Provost Rust Drive service road, Strachan Place and Wilkie Avenue, Aberdeen, from 08:00 on 7th August, 2018, until 17:00 on 9th September, 2018.
Illegally parked vehicles will be removed at the owners expense.
The no-waiting restrictions will only be implemented as and when required and will be demarcated by the use of no-waiting cones for no more than 100 metres at a time.
The measures are necessary to protect public safety during duct laying works being carried out by City Fibre
