Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the order, which will operate from 20:00 on 6 April, 2018, until 06:00 on 9 April, 2018, is to impose a temporary one-way restriction on the C8K Wellington Road, Aberdeen, between its junction with the A956 Wellington Road and Cove Road. The permitted direction of travel will be southbound only. The measures are necessary to protect public safety during Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route works. An alternative route for northbound vehicles is available via Cove Road, Earns Heugh Road, Langdykes Road, and the A956 Wellington Road.
