Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the order, which will operate from 00:01 on 14 January, 2018, until 06:00 on 14 May, 2018, is to impose a temporary prohibition of driving on Broad Street, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Upperkirkgate and Queen Street. The measure is necessary to protect public safety during carriageway and footway resurfacing works. An alternative route is available via Castle Street, King Street, West North Street, Mounthooly Roundabout and Gallowgate.
