Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the order, which will operate from 22:00 on 10 December, 2017, until 08:00 on 15 January, 2018, is to impose a one-way restriction on Upperkirkgate, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Flourmill Lane and Gallowgate, The permitted direction of travel will be eastbound only. Also Gallowgate, Aberdeen,will be one way, between its junctions with Upperkirkgate and Little John Street. The permitted direction of travel will be northbound only. The restriction is in the interests of public safety during carriageway reconstruction works. An alternative route for westbound vehicles is available via Berry Street, St Andrew Street, Blackfriars Street, Schoolhill and Upperkirkgate.
