Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the order is to impose a temporary prohibition of driving on Girdleness Road, Aberdeen, between its junction with Wellington Road and the access to Topps Tiles, from 07:30 until 22:00 on 22 July, 2017. There will also be a prohibition of driving on Balnagask Road, Aberdeen, between its junction with Wellington Road and the access to Halfords, from 08:30 until 22:00 on 30 July, 2017. There will be a prohibition of waiting on Old Church Road, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Balnagask Road and Girdleness Road, from 07:30 until 22:00 on 22 July, 2017, and from 08:30 until 22:00 on 30 July, 2017. The measures are necessary to protect public safety during works being carried out by Scottish and Southern Energy Alternative routes are available via Wellington Road, Balnagask Road, and Old Church Road, and via Wellington Road, Girdleness Road, and Old Church Road.
