On 10/5/17 the Council made Orders under Section 62 of the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984 for the purpose of permitting various Parades/Marches and Events on the following dates and locations. The Orders will temporarily prohibit all vehicular traffic and all waiting and loading on both sides of the following lengths of road:- (1) 13/5/17 – Bankfoot Gala = Main Street – Prieston Road – Newhall Road, Bankfoot; (2) 4/6/17 - Royal Navy procession = Hospital Street – County Place – South Street – King Edward Street – St John’s Place – High Street – Tay Street, Perth; (3) 4/6/17 – VC Paradein Parade = A85(T) Drummond Street – B827 Bridge Street, Comrie; (4) 11/6/17 - Boys Brigade Procession = Wellmeadow – Allan Street – High Street – Brown Street – George Street – James Street, Blairgowrie; (5) 11/6/17 – Kirking of the Council Parade = High Street – King Edward Street – St John’s Place – Kirkside, Perth; (6) 29/7/17 – Soldiers of Killiecrankie = A924 Atholl Road, Pitlochry; (7) 12/11/17 – Kinross Remembrance Parade = High Street, Kinross; and (8) 25/11/17 – Crieff Christmas Light Switch On = James Square – King Street, Crieff. Pedestrian thoroughfare and emergency access will be maintained. An alternative route is not available.
