The Midlothian Council in exercise of the powers conferred on them by Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the 1984 Act”), as amended, and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Constable hereby make the following temporary Order:
- This Order shall be cited as “The Midlothian Council (Auld Coal Road, Hopefield, Bonnyrigg) (One Way Traffic) Traffic Regulation Order 2015” and shall come into operation on 14 December 2015. The Order is expected to be in place for 18 months.
- The restrictions imposed by this Order shall be in addition to and not in derogation of any restriction or requirement imposed by any regulations made under the 1984 Act or by or under any other enactment.
- No person shall, except upon the direction or with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a traffic warden, drive or cause or permit any vehicle to be driven on Auld Coal Road northwards and eastwards for a distance of 115 metres or thereby to its junction with Auld Coal Avenue.
