Temporary road restrictions: A77 Ayr Road and Adjacent Roads, Newton Mearns
A Temporary Traffic Regulation Order (TTRO) has been promoted to facilitate essential carriageway resurfacing works on A77 Ayr Road, Newton Mearns whilst ensuring the safety of the workers carrying out the works and for the safety of the general public. The works will be undertaken in 5 separate Phases to limit the disruption to vehicular traffic.
The TTRO will authorise the following restrictions to vehicular traffic on the sections of road stated from Monday 30th January until Sunday 5th March 2017 or on completion of the works if sooner:
Phase 1 Road closures: Junctions with Ayr Road of (i) Elmwood Avenue, (ii) Capel Avenue and (iii) Lochbroom Drive
Phase 2 Road closures: Junctions with Ayr Road of (i) access to The Beeches, (ii) Netherton Road and (iii) Sandringham Avenue
Phase 3 Road closures: Junctions with Ayr Road of (i) Netherton Court and (ii) Sandringham Avenue
Phase 4 Road closures: Junctions with Ayr Road of (i) Craignethan Road and (ii) Neidpath Road West
Phase 5 Road closure: (i) Craignethan Road between junctions with Ayr Road and Deramore Avenue
Additionally, the TTRO will permit temporary waiting restrictions where No Waiting cones are placed on the following roads in Newton Mearns: Ayr Road, Lochbroom Drive, Elmwood Avenue, Sandringham Avenue, Greenbank Avenue, The Loaning, Lethington Road, And Craignethan Road.
