On 05/07/16 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on them under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order, which will make it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle (except vehicles engaged in works removing sediment from Netherton Burn) on Route U743 at Netherton Bridge near Cumnock (from 10m west of Netherton Bridge to 10m east of that bridge), by reason of works to be executed on or near the road.
The Order is in force from 00:01 hrs on 18/07/16 until 24:00 hrs on 12/08/16, or until the works are completed whichever is earlier and the Order will be implemented only when appropriate signs are displayed.
The works are weather dependent, however, the works should take seven days to complete.
Emergency access will be permitted and pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the closure period.
Alternative Route: via U743, B7046, A70, A76, C36 and U743 and vice versa.
