Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the order, which will operate from 08:00 until 16:00 on 28 October, 2017, is to impose a temporary prohibition of driving on the B997 Scotstown Road, Aberdeen, between Perwinnes Cottages and Corsehill Farm, and on the C19C Shielhill Road, Aberdeen, between its junctions with the U19C Leuchlands Road and the B997 Scotstown Road. Access to properties will be maintained, but no through traffic will be possible. The measure is necessary to protect public safety during carriageway resurfacing works. Alternative routes are available via the C20C Whitestripes Road, Whitestripes Avenue, and the A90 Parkway, and via the B999 Tarves Road, the A90 Ellon Road, and the A90 Parkway.
