Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the order, which will operate from 18:30 on 22 September, 2017, until 22:00 on 22 October, 2017, is to impose a temporary prohibition of driving on Bon-Accord Street, Aberdeen, between its junction with Springbank Terrace and a point 15 metres in a southerly direction. There will also be a suspension of waiting on the north side of Springbank Terrace, Aberdeen, between the west boundary of number 21 Springbank Terrace and the east boundary of number 11 Springbank Terrace. The measure is necessary to protect public safety during traffic signal refurbishment works. An alternative route is available via Springbank Terrace, Crown Street, and Ferryhill Road.
