Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the order, which will operate from 08:00 on 16 August, 2017, until 22:00 on 20 August, 2017, is to impose a temporary prohibition of driving on Prospect Terrace, Aberdeen, between its junction with Foresters Avenue and a point 15 metres in a northern direction. There will be a one way restriction on Prospect Terrace, Aberdeen, between its junction with Foresters Avenue and a point 30 metres in a southern direction. The permitted direction of travel will be southbound only. There will also be a temporary prohibition of traverse on Prospect Terrace, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Foresters Avenue and Market Street. There will also be a prohibition of waiting on Foresters Avenue, Aberdeen, between its junction with Prospect Terrace and the boundary between numbers 22 and 26 Foresters Avenue. The no-waiting restrictions will be demarcated by the use of no-waiting cones. The measure is necessary to protect public safety during site investigation work. An alternative route for pedestrians is available via Market Street, Stoneywood Road and Foresters Avenue
