Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the order, which will operate from 06:30 on 22 May, 2017, until 24:00 on 29 May, 2017, is to close Esplanade, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Beach Boulevard and lamppost 40 on Esplanade. Also there will be a suspension of waiting on either side of the same stretch of road. Links Road, Aberdeen will be closed between its north junction with Esplanade and lamppost 43 on Links Road. Accommodation Road, Aberdeen will also be closed between its junctions with Esplanade and a point 190 metres south of this junction The existing width restriction on Esplanade, Aberdeen, will be suspended for the duration of this order. The restrictions are in the interests of public safety during road surface repair works by Aberdeen City Council. An alternative route for Esplanade is available via Esplanade, East North Street, Park Street, Park Road, Accommodation Road and Esplanade. An alternative route for Links Road is available via Links Road southbound. An alternative route for Accommodation Road is available via Park Road, Urquhart Road, Links Road and Esplanade.
