Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the order, which will operate from 17:30 on 22 May, 2017, until 06:00 on 23 May, 2017, from 17:30 on 23 May, 2017, until 06:00 on 24 May, 2017, from 17:30 on 24 May, 2017, until 06:00 on 25 May, 2017 and from 17:30 on 25 May, 2017, until 06:00 on 26 May, 2017, is to impose a temporary prohibition of driving on Fraser Place, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Causewayend and Canal Road. Access to properties will be maintained, but no through traffic will be possible. The measure is necessary to protect public safety during new water and electric connection works for Robertson Construction. An alternative route is available via Canal Road, Elmbank Road, Bedford Road, Powis Terrace and Powis Place.
