Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers Under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the order, which will come into operation on 8 August, 2016, (thus continuing without pause from the preceding similar order) for a period of one year, is to provide for the temporary amendment and variation of The Aberdeen City Council (Tillydrone /Old Aberdeen / Seaton / King Street Corridor / Beach Area, Aberdeen) (Area VII South) (Traffic Management) Order 2001. This however will mean nothing over and above identical amendments and variations applied in recent years to cover events at Pittodrie Stadium. Accordingly, anyone familiar with previous norms will find no change this season, except for the Fourth Schedule, below, which is in addition to the Fifth Schedule of The Aberdeen City Council (Tillydrone /Old Aberdeen / Seaton / King Street Corridor / Beach Area, Aberdeen) (Area VII South) (Traffic Management) Order 2001, but only an addition during such times there is a major football match or other public event taking place and upon the direction of Police Scotland. These roads will be closed except for access. Broadly, the temporary order confirms the existing time periods for waiting restrictions in relation to matches (or other events) at Pittodrie and various match day arrangements on Pittodrie Street, Park Road, Urquhart Road, Merkland Road East, Seaforth Road, Links Road, Golf Road, Accommodation Road and Constitution Street. FOURTH SCHEDULE Merkland Road East for its entire length. Merkland Lane for its entire length. Pittodrie Lane, between its junction with Pittodrie Street and Merkland Road East. Pittodrie Street, between its junctions with Ardarroch Road and Golf Road Ardarroch Road, between its junctions with Pittodrie Street and Merkland Road East.
