Work to be carried out to help keep Argyll open for business in the event of Rest and Be Thankful landslide.
Transport Scotland will look at options to improve the general layout, access points and the operation and implementation of the diversion route should it be required.
The local diversion route is part of the range of measures being progressed on the A83 under the Red Option to help reduce the risk of impacts of landslides at the Rest and Be Thankful. As well as the diversion route, it has seen the introduction of additional fencing and debris netting as well as drainage and culvert improvements. To read more on this story, please follow this link
