ROAD CLOSURE NOTICE

B6461 KELSO TO EDNAM

In accordance with Section 14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the Scottish Borders Council will temporarily close the B6461 from Kelso to Ednam. The maximum duration of this Notice is 21 days and it is expected that the closure will be in effect on 10 and 13 May 2024 between the hours of 08:30 and 17:00 each day.

The closure is required to permit patching works.

The alternative route for southbound traffic is via the B6461, A697, A6105, B6364, A6089 and B6461 to the point of closure, for northbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.

This Notices continues The Scottish Borders Council (B6461 Kelso to Ednam) (Temporary Closing) Order 2024 made on 29 April 2024 and advertised in the Southern Reporter on 2 May 2024, which closed the B6461 from Kelso to Ednam from 7 May 2024 for a period of three days between the hours of 08:30 and 17:00 each day. These additional closures (i) replace that set down for 8 May which has been cancelled due to Kelso Races taking place; and (ii) continue the duration of the closure to include 13 May 2024.
