(A699 MAXTON TO RUTHERFORD)

(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2024

The Scottish Borders Council (A699 Maxton to Rutherford) (Temporary Closing) Order 2024 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 29 April 2024 and is expected to remain in effect for a period of five days between the hours of 08:30 and 17:00 each day. The Order is required for patching works.

When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along the A699 from Maxton to Rutherford.

The alternative route for eastbound traffic is via the A699, A68, B6404, A6089, A698, B6352 and A699 to the point of closure, for westbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.
