On 20/05/15 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on them under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (East Ayrshire Council) Designation Order 2012 and the Road Traffic Act 1991, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order, which will make it unlawful for any person to cause or permit any vehicle to wait at any time on Park Street, Kilmarnock, by reason of the likelihood of danger to the public or of damage to the road.
The Order is in force from 07:00 hrs on 25/05/15 until 18:00 hrs on 15/02/16.
The Order may be implemented either by the presence of “No Waiting” cones or by double yellow line road markings.

These temporary restrictions are considered necessary at this time to promote the safe passage of all road users. The Council proposes to promote a permanent Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) for these restrictions and a “Notice of Proposal” will be advertised in the local press within the coming months as part of the consultation process and at that time you will be invited to share your thoughts with Head of Roads – Ayrshire Roads Alliance. In the meantime the situation on site will be monitored and enforced to ensure that the correct restrictions are taken forward in the proposed TRO.
