Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The effect of the order, which will operate from 09:00 on 25th May, 2024, until 19:00 on 26th May, 2024, is to impose a temporary prohibition of driving on Hamilton Place, Aberdeen, from its western junction with Fountainhall Road to a point 10 metres in a westerly direction. An alternative route is available via Fountainhall Road, Kings Gate and Forest Road and also on Hamilton Place, Aberdeen, from its eastern junction with Fountainhall Road to a point 10 metres in an easterly direction. An alternative route is available via Fountainhall Road, Beechgrove Terrace and Whitehall Road.
There will also be a prohibition of waiting on either side of Fountainhall Road, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Hamilton Place and Carlton Place.
Illegally parked vehicles will be removed at the owners expense. Access to properties will be maintained, but no through traffic will be possible.

The measures are necessary to protect public safety during remedial works being carried out by City Fibre.
