B6414 Elphinstone Road, Tranent - East Lothian

The Council will be undertaking carriageway resurfacing on the above road, between John Crescent the roundabout at New Row, from Monday 3^rd June until Friday 14^th June between the hours of 08.00 and 16.00.

The road will remain open with works undertaken using temporary traffic lights. Works will be phased to maintain access into adjoining streets and businesses. However, delays to vehicular traffic are to be expected.

Refuse and recycling uplifts will operate as normal.

For their own safety pedestrians should not enter the works area. Please note that during the resurfacing works the existing surface will be sprayed with a black bituminous emulsion which becomes very sticky. Please be aware (and make other family members aware) that this material should be avoided as it will readily stick to soles of footwear, bicycle tyres, pet’s paws, etc and is difficult to remove.
