South Lanarkshire Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, and of all other enabling powers, has made the following Order: -

This Order may be cited as “South Lanarkshire Council, Mousemill Road, Kirkfieldbank, Temporary Road Closure Order 2022” and shall come into operation on Monday 1st August 2022 0800 hours and will remain in operation until Tuesday 31 January 2023 at 1800 hours. The restrictions will be applied on site by the display of traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016. 

Whilst this Order remains in force no person shall park, drive, or cause or permit to be driven any motor vehicle (with the exception of vehicles engaged in these works) on the sections of roads specified in Schedule 1 by reason of road safety during South Lanarkshire Council contractor slope stabilisation and associated retaining structure works. Please note pedestrians, cyclists, horse riders etc will not be permitted access during the period of the works.

Schedule 1 - Temporary Road Closure – Mousemill Road, Kirkfieldbank

Works commencing Monday 1 August 2022 0800 hours until Tuesday 31 January 2023 1800 hours between the junctions of the A72 Lanark to Kirkfieldbank and West Nemphlar Road.

Alternative Route

Alternative diversion route will be signed via West Nemphlar Road, A73 Lanark Road, Steels Cross, A72 Lanark to Kirkfieldbank and vice versa.
