South Lanarkshire Council propose to consider the introduction of a Traffic Regulation Order thereby introducing a prohibition of driving on part of Meadowhead Highway, East Kilbride.

The Order was advertised in the East Kilbride News on 5 June 2019 and a Public Hearing will take place to discuss maintained objections to the Orders.

The Hearing will take place on 11 November 2021, commencing at 9.30am in the Avondale Community Wing, Overton Road, Strathaven ML10 6JW and will be conducted by Ms Frances McChlery, an inquiry Reporter from the Scottish Government. The venue is suitable for wheelchair access.

Full details of these proposals, which form the proposed South Lanarkshire Council (Meadowhead Highway) (Prohibition of Driving) Order 2019 together with a plan and statement of reasons for proposing to make this Traffic Regulation Order, are available for inspection on the councils website and during normal office hours, Monday to Friday inclusive at the offices of:-
