South Lanarkshire Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, and of all other enabling powers, has made the following Order:-

This Order may be cited as “South Lanarkshire The Ward, Strathaven Temporary Restriction to Right Turn Order No 1. 2021” and shall come into operation at 0001 hours on the 26 July 2021 and will remain in operation to 2359 hours on the 29 October 2021. The restrictions will be applied on site by the display of traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

Whilst this order remains in force no vehicles will turn right from the The Ward to Waterside Street for reason of to allow construction works to the Aldi store. Schedule 1 – Temporary Right Turn Ban from The Ward to Waterside Street Alternative route is via Waterside Street, Bridge Street, Common Green and Green Street
