South Lanarkshire Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, and of all other enabling powers, has made the following Order:-

This Order may be cited as “South Lanarkshire Council, Ardochrig Highway, Strathaven (No Waiting and No Loading Restriction) Order No. 1 2021” and shall come into operation at 0001 hours on 1 March 2021 and will remain in operation until 2359 hours on 31 August 2022. The restrictions will be applied on site by the display of traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

Whilst this order remains in force no person shall park any motor vehicle on the sections of road specified in Schedule 1 by reason of road safety to ensure that road is kept clear to ensure vehicles can manoeuvre safely. Schedule 1 – Temporary Waiting and Loading Restriction From the entrance to Ardochrig Mor generally northwards for a distance of 540 metres or thereby.
