South Lanarkshire Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, and of all other enabling powers, has made the following Order:-

This Order may be cited as “South Lanarkshire Council, C24 Thankerton to A702 near Coulter between the A72 Wolfclyde Bridge and Cormiston Road and Lindsaylands Road, Biggar between the C24 and Langlees Road, Temporary Road Closure Order 2020” and shall come into operation on Monday 25 January 2021 and will remain in operation up to Friday 5 February 2021. The restrictions will be applied on site by the display of traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

Whilst this Order remains in force no person shall park, drive or cause or permit to be driven any motor vehicle (with the exception of vehicles engaged in these works and emergency vehicles) on the sections of roads specified in Schedule 1 by reason of road safety due to proposed BT works.

Schedule 1 - Temporary Road Closure – C24 between Cormiston Road and the A72 at Wolfclyde Bridge and Lindsaylands Road between C24 and Langlees Road, Biggar.

C24 Thankerton to A702 near Coulter as detailed above. Commencing Monday 25 January 2021 until Friday 5 February 2021.

Alternative Route - Alternative diversion route will be signed via A72, A702, B7016 and Shieldhill Rd and vice versa.
