South Lanarkshire Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, and of all other enabling powers, has made the following Order:-

This Order may be cited as “South Lanarkshire Council” Glen Cannich East Kilbride (Temporary Remote Footpath Closure) Order No 1, 2020” and shall come into operation at 7.00am on 24 August 2020 and will remain in operation to 11.59pm on 4 September 2020. The restrictions will be applied on site by the display of traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

Whilst order remains in force no person walk on the sections of footpath specified in Schedule 1 by reason of Scottish Power installing their apparatus.

Schedule 1 – Temporary Remote Footpath Closure - section between house numbers, 28 and 70.

Alternative Routes are via Glen Cannich, Blacklaw Drive and Glen Morriston.
