On 14/07/2020 South Lanarkshire Council made the above named Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended, which will make it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any motor vehicle on Burnhead Road, Larkhall between A71 Ayr Road and Meadowhill Street. The Order will be in operation from 29/08/2020 until 05/09/2020.
Alternative routes are via A71 Ayr Road, Canderside Toll, Carlisle Roadd, Keir Hardie Road and Hareleeshill Road, John Street, Church Street, Muir Steet and Drygate Street.
Local access for residents will be maintained. Road closure will be done in phases.
It should be noted that these are provisional arrangements to allow the service to return to a normal level of activity as existing lockdown arrangements continue to be eased. The dates may be subject to change depending on government guidelines and resource availability.
