On 08/07/2020 South Lanarkshire Council made the above named Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended, which will make it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any motor vehicle on A72 Carlisle Road, Ferniegair between Lanark Road End and Allanton Terrace. The Order will be in operation from 7am on 09/08/2020 until 7pm on 09/08/2020.
Alternative route is via B7078 through Larkhall, A71 Stonehouse to Strathaven and A723 Strathaven to Hamilton then A72 to Ferniegair.
It should be noted that these are provisional arrangements to allow the service to return to a normal level of activity as existing lockdown arrangements continue to be eased. The dates may be subject to change depending on government guidelines and resource availability.
