South Lanarkshire Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, make the above named Order with the consent of the Scottish Ministers under Section 16B(6) (b) of the said Act hereby makes the following order to be observed by all vehicles.
This Order may be cited as “South Lanarkshire Council (Various Streets, Rutherglen) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2020” and shall come into operation at 0600 hours on the 13 June 2020 and will remain in operation until 2200 hours on the 13 June 2020. The restrictions will be applied on site by the display of traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
No person shall drive or permit to be driven any motor vehicle on the lengths of road specified in Schedule 1 by reason of road safety for the Landemer Day Celebrations 2020. Access will be maintained at all times for emergency services vehicles.
Schedule 1 – Temporary Road Closure
Main Street, Rutherglen between its junctions with Mill Street and Stonelaw Road.
Diversion Routes
Vehicles approaching from the east of the closure to proceed south on Stonelaw Road, west on Rodger Drive and north on Mill Street to complete the diversion. Vehicles approaching from the west of the closure to proceed vice versa.
