South Lanarkshire Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, and of all other enabling powers, has made the following Order:-

This Order may be cited as “South Lanarkshire Council, The Ward, Strathaven, Temporary Road Closure Order No. 1 2019” and shall come into operation at 00:01 hours on 9 December 2019 and will remain in operation until 23:59 hours on 19 December 2019. The restrictions will be applied on site by the display of traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

Whilst this order remains in force no person shall park, drive or cause or permit tbe driven or park any motor vehicle on the sections of roads specified in the Schedule below by reason of upgrading Scottish Power apparatus.

Schedule1 - Temporary Road Closure – The Ward, Strathaven between Waterside Street and Loudon Street.

Alternative Route is via Waterside Street, A723 Barn Street, A723 Commercial Road, Loudon Street and vice versa.
