South Lanarkshire Council Disabled Persons’ Parking Places No. 1 Order 2019 - South Lanarkshire Archived

On 2 September 2019, South Lanarkshire Council made the above named Order, under the terms of the Road Traffic Act 1984, thereby introducing new regulated parking bays for the sole use of ‘blue’ badge holders on Windyridge, Auchenheath; Ansdell Avenue, Bruce Terrace, Church Street, Ennisfree Road, Iona Path, Myrtle Street, Station Road and Wolcott Drive, all Blantyre; Castle Wynd and Woodlands Gardens, both Bothwell; Harestanes Road, Braidwood; Annick Street, Braeside Place, Cairns Avenue, Christie Place, Croft Road, Gateside Avenue, Moncastle Drive, Rosebank Drive, Wiston Street and Woodland Crescent, all Cambuslang; Mansfield Crescent, Chapleton; Coalburn Road and Manse View, both Coalburn; Shawhill Terrace, Coulter; Ayton Park North, Ash Court, Catrine, Chestnut Crescent, Cypress Crescent, Douglasdale, Eider Grove, Falkland Drive, Glen Farrar, Glen Prosen, Gordon Drive, Kirktonholme Crescent, Mallard Place, Maple Terrace, Melville Park, Mungo Park, Old Mill Road, Owen Avenue, Quarry Park, Sandpiper Place, Stirling Drive, Strathcona Place, Strathfillan Road, Troon Avenue, Vancouver Drive, Windward Road and Wynyard Green, all East Kilbride; Anderson Street, Brankholm Brae, Carron Court, Clydesdale Avenue, Croftwood Road, Easdale Rise, Forth Terrace, Glenafton View, Hutchison Street, Linwood Terrace, Mournian Way and Roseberry Place, all Hamilton; Annbank Street, Drygate Street, Hill Street, John Street and Miller Street, all Larkhall; Beech Grove , Law; Strathaven Road, Lesmahagow; Acredyke Road, Avenue Street, Avonbank Road, Carrick Road, Colville Drive, Dryburgh Avenue, Dukes Road, Ewing Street, Gilmour Crescent, Glencairn Drive, Greenhill Street, Greystone Avenue, Hamilton Road, Johnstone Drive, Kildale Way, Kingsbridge Drive, Limeside Avenue, MacDonald Street, Main Street, Melrose Court, Parkhill Drive, Penman Avenue, Rowantree Avenue, Skye Road, Trossachs Road and Victoria Street, Rutherglen; Kirk Street and Violet Crescent, Stonehouse; North Street, Strathaven; Crofthead Street, Deanbrae Street and Old Mill Road, Uddingston.

The Order which comes into operation on 21 October 2019 was advertised in the Hamilton Advertiser, Rutherglen Reformer, East Kilbride News and Lanark and Carluke Advertiser in the week beginning the 22 July 2019. The effect of the order is as previously stated.

Any person who wishes to question the validity of the order or of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act, or of any instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, by 14 October 2019, apply to the Court of Session for this purpose.
