South Lanarkshire Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended and with the consent of the Scottish Ministers under section 16B(6)(B) of the said Act hereby makes the following order.
This Order may be cited as “South Lanarkshire Council, Carluke Gala Day, Temporary Road Closure Order No.1 2019”. The order will be in 2 phases, with phase 1 being operational on Saturday 8 June 2019 from 0900 hours until 1200 hours, phase 2 being operational on Saturday 8 June 2019 from 0900 hours until 1700 hours.
No person shall drive or permit to be driven any motor vehicle on the lengths of road specified in Schedule 1 by reason of road safety owing to the Carluke Gala Day.
Schedule 1 – Temporary Road Closure
Phase 1 – Sandy Road from A73 Stewart Street to Belstane Road.
Phase 2 – A73 Stewart Street at Glamis Avenue to A73 Kirkton Street at Station Road. Mount Stewart Street from Fire Station to A73 Stewart Street. Clyde Street from School Lane to A73 Stewart Street.
Diversion Routes
Alternative routes will be signposted.
