Temporary 30mph Speed Limit Order 2019
On 1 March 2019 South Lanarkshire Council made the above named Order under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which makes it unlawful for any person, except upon the direction or with the permission of a police constable in uniform, to cause or permit any vehicle to drive at a speed exceeding 30 miles per hour on that length of the B7016 Carwood Road, Biggar- from a point 92 metres north of the extended north kerb line of Northcrofts Road northwards for a distance of 124 metres, or thereby. When appropriate road signs as prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016 are displayed. This Order has been made because of the likelihood of danger to the public, i.e. for reasons of road safety.
The Order will come into operation at 0001 hours on 18 March 2019 and will remain in operation until 2359 hours on 31 August 2020.
