South Lanarkshire Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, and of all other enabling powers, has made the following Order:-
This Order may be cited as “South Lanarkshire Council, Overton Road, Strathaven, Temporary Road Closure Order No. 1 2018” and shall come into operation between 0001 hours Monday 15 October 2018 to 2359 hours Sunday 21 October 2018. The restrictions will be applied on site by the display of traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2002.
Whilst this order remains in force no person shall park, drive or cause or permit to be driven any motor vehicle on the sections of road specified in Schedule 1 except for vehicles associated with the carriageway resurfacing works or emergency vehicles.
Schedule 1 - Temporary Road Closure – Overton Road, Strathaven between Commercial Road and Hogan Drive.
Alternative Route
Ashkirk Road, Viewmount Crescent, Woodhill Road, Glasgow Road, Commercial Road and vice versa.
