South Lanarkshire Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended and with the approval of Scottish Ministers, make the above named Order to be observed by all vehicles.
This Order may be cited as “South Lanarkshire Council, Various Streets, Strathaven, Temporary Road Closure Order No.1 2017” and shall come into operation at 0700 hours on the 10 December 2017 and will remain in operation until 1800 hours on the 10 December 2017.
No person shall drive or permit to be driven any motor vehicle on the lengths of road specified in Schedule 1 by reason of road safety owing to the Strathaven Reindeer Day 2017.
Nothing in Article 2 of this Order shall prevent the driving upon the said road by any vehicle which is being used in connection with the Strathaven Reindeer Day 2017 or by emergency service vehicles.
