On 2 May 2017, South Lanarkshire Council made the above named Order, under the terms of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, thereby introducing new regulated parking bays for the sole use of ‘blue’ badge holders on Lancaster Road, Auchenheath; Ballantrae Road, Glenfruin Road, Janefield Place (parking area), Main Street and Schoolhouse Lane, all Blantyre; Churchill Crescent, Bothwell; Hamilton Street, Ramage Road and Whitehill Crescent, all Carluke; Nursery Avenue, Douglas; Abercromby Crescent, Aikman Place, Ayton Park North, Bank Park, Benbecula, Bosfield Road, Burnbrae Place, Cantieslaw Drive, Capelrig Drive, Carlyle Drive, Crawford Drive, Dalrymple Drive, Eider Grove, Elgin Avenue, Ellisland, Elphinstone Crescent, Falkland Drive, Glen Cally, Glen Dessary, Glen Doll, Glen Feshie, Gordon Drive, Jedburgh Place, Juniper Avenue, Kirkton Park, Kirktonholme Road, Montreal Park, Mount Cameron Drive North, Munro Place, Ramsay Hill, Strathcona Place, Struthers Crescent, Tannahill Drive, Tummel Green, Urquhart Drive, Vancouver Drive, Warwick and West Mains Road, all East Kilbride; Hailstonegreen and Hawkwood Terrace, both Forth; Comrie Crescent, Downie Street, Fleming Way, Hall Street, Loudonhill Avenue, Nethan Place, Quarry Street, Rose Crescent, Spey Gardens, St. Giles Park, St. Giles Way, Tinto View and Woodhead Crescent all Hamilton; Margaretvale Drive and Stuart Drive, both Larkhall; Smyllum Road and Woodstock Road, both Lanark; Patrickholme Avenue and Lanrigg View, both Stonehouse; and Glenavon Street, Strathaven.

 

The Order which comes into operation on the 19 June 2017 was advertised in the Hamilton Advertiser, East Kilbride News and the Lanark and Carluke Advertiser in the week beginning the 27 March 2017. The effect of the Order is as previously stated.

Any person who wishes to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act, or of any instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, by the 13 June 2017, apply to the Court of Session for this purpose.
