South Lanarkshire Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended and with the approval of Scottish Ministers, make the above named Order to be observed by all vehicles.
This Order may be cited as “South Lanarkshire Council Various Streets, Strathaven Temporary Road Closure Order No.1 2017” and shall come into operation at 1100 hours on the 10 June 2017 and will remain in operation until 1500 hours on the 10 June 2017. The restrictions will be applied on site by the display of traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
No person shall drive or permit to be driven any motor vehicle on the lengths of road specified in Schedule 1 by reason of road safety owing to the Strathaven Gala Day.
Nothing in Article 2 of this Order shall prevent the driving upon the said road by any vehicle which is being used in connection with the Strathaven Gala Day or by emergency service vehicles.

A71 Kirk Street, Ryeland Street, A723 Townhead Street, A723 Green Street, A723 Barn Street, A723 Glasgow Road, Park Crescent, Reed Street, Common Green, Lethame Road, Threestanes Road and Kirklandpark Road, Strathaven.
Diversion Routes
As directed by Police Scotland.
