South Lanarkshire Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, and of all other enabling powers, has made the following Order:-
This Order may be cited as “South Lanarkshire Council, , West Mains Road, East Kilbride Temporary Road Closure Order 2013” and shall come into operation at 0700 hours on Monday 5 August 2013 and will remain in operation until 1900 hours on Friday 9 August 2013. The restrictions will be applied on site by the display of traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2002.
Whilst this order remains in force no person shall park, drive or cause or permit to be driven any motor vehicle on the sections of road specified in Schedule 1 by reason of major roadworks.
SCHEDULE 1 – Temporary Road Closure
West Mains Road, East Kilbride will be closed between Kittoch Street and Ladybank Court, East Kilbride
Alternative Route
Eastbound traffic should continue on to East Mains Road to Whirlies Roundabout, along A725 Kingsway to Whitemoss Rounadbout, on to Whitemoss Avenue to West Mains Road
Westbound traffic vice versa.
